Aged Care
At SETAC, we are here to support elderly and ageing people living in the Huon Valley and Channel. We offer aged care services that are respectful, safe, and guided by the needs of the local community.
Although we no longer provide Home Care Packages, we still offer help through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). This program is designed to support older people to stay safe, well, and independent in their own homes.
What We Can Help With
SETAC provides Home Maintenance services directly through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). This includes basic support to keep your home and garden safe and functional.
Our team is based in Cygnet, and we understand the local area and the people who live here. We’ll work with you to make sure the support you receive fits your lifestyle and your needs.
Brokered Services for Aged Care Providers
SETAC partners with other Aged Care Service Providers (ACSPs) to deliver culturally safe and community-focused aged care services across South East Tasmania.
We offer the following services on a brokered basis:
- Home Maintenance
- Domestic Assistance
- Transport
- Social Support
If you're an ACSP interested in brokering services from SETAC, please contact our team to discuss how we can work together to support your clients.
Our Story
SETAC has been providing aged care services since the 1990s, beginning with a group of passionate community members who saw the need to support Elders in their homes and communities. From chopping wood and delivering food to offering social support, these volunteers laid the foundation for the services we provide today.
As our programs grew and received government funding, we expanded our services to all eligible people in the region. Based in Cygnet, we understand the local area and the needs of our community.
